2024 Quad State Middle School Band Festival

We are thrilled to announce the application  for the 2023 Quad State Middle School Band Festival on November 20th on the campus of Murray State University. Please only submit Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets forms - NO PDFs!

Applications are due by October 16 at 4:00PM and the fee this year will be $30 per student AND INCLUDES a T-SHIRT for each student. Over the last few years of hearing suggestions from many of you, we will provide a shirt that students can wear for the concert, and then keep as a memento of their experience . 

Once again this year, we will have three bands of equal ability, and we will offer one Honor Band. This Honor Group will require an audio or video file link to two components:
-Chromatic scale on their instrument (either one octave, or range of their ability, your choice)
-Excerpts in the folder HERE, from pieces selected by our Honor Band conductor. Each pdf is labeled by instrument, with marked cuts. Students should include both the audition excerpt  AND the chromatic scale IN THE SAME AUDIO or VIDEO FILE! You will see a place in the application to add the link. You will upload each student's audition to the web and include the link in your nomination form. PLEASE make sure all links work, and all permissions are unlocked. Unaccessible videos will be disqualified from the honor band process. 

We hope this will provide an additional, enhanced experience for many of our older, experienced students at the MS level.

Once students have been selected, we will return an invoice for you to process and keep for your records. Thanks in advance to those of you who are able to help us process payment prior to the day of the festival, it certainly takes some of the chaos of the day away!
